On a recent long journey I noticed on several occasions whilst moving along at 100kmph that my 5th gear jumped free. I quickly put the Van into 4th and then back up into 5th. Over a journey of about 400km it jumped at least 4 times.
Anyone know what may be the problem ?
My Van is a 1995 T4 1.9d

Did you check the oil level in the gearbox recently ?
Oil level too low is the main cause of the 5th gear troubles.
It is advised to fill the oil level up to the filling hole , so completely full.
