Heater/Kachel removal ?

My heater does not work on my T4 1.9d from 1995.

I have replaced the weerstand and also the switch control unit that controls the speed of the blowers. ( a small box like unit behind the dial ) . But still the kachel doet het niet.
I have now been told that it is most probably my heater unit ( kachel ) . I have bought a 2nd hand one.

My problem is ? How do I remove the heater unit. does anyone have a diagram or photos ? I have removed the glove box and console but I cannot see how to remove the kachel.

Question:

is it the heater that'n not funcitoning, or the blower (or you hear the blower, but no warm air is comming out) or is the blower silent.

If you hear the blower and no warm air: the valve which regulates the warm water (or cable controlling it) is defect, if no blower -> electrical

There is no sound at all when I turn on the heater/kachel.

I have replaced the weerstand and also the control schakelaar/switch,VW garage recommended this.

Nothing has worked so I have now bought a 2nd hand kachel/heater but I am not sure how to fit it ?

Can you possibly explain how to remove the old one and fit the new one ?
